What you will be doing

Not far from Leoben is the Upper Austrian town of Hallstatt, which gave its name to a whole era: the Hallstatt period. Back then, iron became more and more important – in this area, too.

Dishes and burial objects from the Hallstatt period have been discovered around and even in Leoben itself. These are now on show here at the museum. Have a close look at our bronze brooches, spindles and clay pots!
