On show from March to May 2016

In 2016, Leoben University organised a successful exhibition at Kunsthalle Leoben called “Raw Materials are the Future”, which focused on the importance of raw materials.

The whole raw materials cycle

The exhibition traced the entire raw materials cycle, starting with the exploration, mining and extraction of materials, their preparation, their processing into materials that can be used in a multitude of ways, all the way through to residual materials that become secondary raw materials again. Great exhibits and hands-on experiments allowed both adults and children to discover the world of primary and secondary raw materials.
